Abstract

The demands of the research library clientele always remain more specific, more focused and have a time constraint. The Haryana state has a number of good research libraries which are that serve their users by various means. It is anticipated that the research libraries of Haryana are accepting the challenges introduced due to time change and are making an effort to meet the users’ requirements. A survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 11 research libraries in Haryana, but 9 research libraries have actively participated. The main objective to conduct this study is to know the current status of these libraries regarding infrastructure and services, i.e. status of book collection, subscription of journals, financial aids, availability of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) infrastructure, library automation, inter-library loan, miscellaneous library services, etc.
