Abstract

The worldwide information and communications technology is rapidly changed. New technologies and new opportunities come and go at an ever-increasing speed. The Free and open source software (OSS) movement is one such development that is drawing immense attention among libraries and library professionals. The study covers a survey conducted on the use of opensource software in various academic institutions (Engineering, Arts and Science, Medical science and Research Institutions) of Andhra Pradesh.
