Abstract

Spector's job satisfaction (JSS) scale was used to examine the JSS of 28 women library professionals of government and government-aided colleges of Haryana. 50% of the women library professionals have the qualification of M. Lib. and Inf. Sc., and 43.8% are working as restorer. Results show that overall women library professionals are ambivalent with their profession. They were mainly satisfied with supervision, pay and co-workers and dissatisfied with operating condition, promotion and contingent reward. Lack of satisfaction hampers the efficiency of the organisation and people therein.
