The value of the ancient traditional medical system is realised by the modern society and it tries to preserve and enhance these systems by establishing and running of higher institutions to important education and research. In India primarily these institutions come under one umbrella, which is known as AYUSH. In this context this paper is focusing on the importance of the traditional medical systems along with the institutions that are dealing with them in India. Apart from this, this paper is focusing on the collection development and services of the libraries supporting these institutions. Finally a prototype network model is designed to interlink these libraries for resource sharing and networking.
