Abstract

Of the 21 chilli varieties/germplasm screened against yellow mite, Polyphagolarsonemus latus (Banks) during rabi seasons of 2000–01, 2001–02 and 2002–03 at College Farm, Gujarat Agricultural University, Navsari Jwala, RHRC Errecl and ACG-77 were found promising recording 5.60 to 9.49 mean number of mile/15 leaves, 5.76 to 7.47 % leaf curl plants with 15.61 to 21.78 % intensity of leaf curling within damage plant whereas G-4 and PBS 86-1 were found to be extremely susceptible recording 33.96 to 35.62 mean no. of mite / 15 leaves, 29.04 to 39.60 % leaf curl plant with 45.14 to 50.92 % intensity of leafcurling within damage plant.
