Abstract

Field experiments with four IPM Modules were conducted at PAJANCOA & RI, Karaikal, Pondicherry, South India, during 2003–2004 to study their effects against bhendi fruit borer, Earias vittella Fabricius. The study revealed that the lowest shoot damage was observed in Insecticide module (M3) and it was on par with Biointensive module (M2). The reduced fruit borer incidence was recorded in Biointensive module (M2) both in number and weight basis and thereby increased fruit yield.
