Abstract

Single and repeated releases of mealybug parasitoid, L. dactylopii were made during January to April 2006 in some mealybug infested estates in Wayanad where mealybug, P. citri infestation was noticed. The observations indicated that L. dactylopii readily attacks and is able to bring down the infestation of mealybug population to negligible levels, if the population of parasitoids is supplemented regularly during the pest season.
