Abstract

Three fungicides viz., myclobutanil 10WP, triadimefon 25WP and mancozeb 75WP were evaluated for their relative efficacy against three fungal diseases of chilli viz., powdery mildew [Leveillula taurica (lev) Am.], leaf spot [Cercospora capsici Heald and F.A. wolf] and anthracnose [Colletotrichum capsici (Syd.) Butler and Bisby] at Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bangalore, India. Triadimefon (0.01%) was found to be most effective in controlling all the three diseases together and in increasing the yield followed by myclobutanil (0.04%). Among the different concentrations of myclobutanil (10% WP), However the benefit cost ratio was high with myclobutanil at 0.04 per cent and hence can be recommended for the management of powdery mildew, anthracnose and leaf spot on chilli.
