Abstract

A field experiment was carried out to evaluate the efficacy of certain plant products against Citrus leaf miner, Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton. The study indicated that Neem Seed Kernel Extract (NSKE) @ 5 per cent, tobacco leaf extract @ 5 per cent and azadirachtin 10,000 ppm @ 1 ml and 2 ml/L recorded high larval mortality ranging from 82.68 to 86.25. However, the other plant products viz., azadirachtin 1500 ppm, pongamia oil, parthenium and calotropis leaf extracts were found to be moderately effective against citrus leaf miner.
