Tea mosquito bug, Helopeltis antonii Signoret (Hemiptera: Miridae) is a major pest of guava (Psidium guajava) in India causing up to 60–70% loss of marketable fruits. The pest occurs on guava only during flushing and fruiting season from May to November. A study was carried out to determine the survival of the pest during the remaining months of the year. Among 18 species of plants surveyed, the pest was recorded on three plant species during the above period. Further studies were made on the time of occurrence and the damage caused in relation to the above host plants.
