Abstract

Persistence of cabendazim in/on okra was studied after application of pesticide at fruit initiation stage. Carbendazim @ 150 and 300 g a.i. ha−1 was applied twice at an interval of 10 days. The initial residues dissipated with half-life of 1.80 and 2.29 days at recommended and double the recommended dose, respectively. Considering LOQ of 0.05mg kg−1 as default MRL, Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) of seven days can be suggested for carbendazim for safe consumption of okra fruits.
