To begin with, education was started by philosophers to train philosophers in the philosophical schools. Greek philosophical schools of the ancient periods were famous for imbibing value systems in education. But latter on, education, as a tool for sharpening the intellect has been used in other fields starting with religion. Now education has become a part and parcel of human life itself irrespective of the field of activity. And every field of human activity developed its own value systems. And education has also accumulated its own value systems over the period.
