Abstract

Information technology (IT) has been widely used in organizations striving to capture sustainable competitive advantage in knowledge management. So far, the role of IT has been confined to providing favorable physical environment to help organizational members to communicate and exchange ideas more easily. Knowledge management, however, cannot be successful without inducing organizational members to voluntarily cooperate in sharing their knowledge. With regard to this, this study investigates and confirms the role of IT in successful knowledge management as a facilitator of organizational justice. Empirically, this study Proved that IT significantly increases ease of communication, and provides a fundamental tool to induce voluntary cooperation from organizational members through enhanced organizational justice.
