Abstract

Globalization and Industrialization is responsible for liberalization of management education in India. Different classifications have been done for the Business Schools in India. But it is very difficult to understand the bases for these classifications as these classifications and ratings do not reflect the true performance of many institutions. There is a wide gap between the performance of top 10 B-Schools and rest B- Schools. One important reason for the difference is poor integration of industry and management education institutions. This study is an attempt to understand the need for industry academia partnerships, identifying the factors to be included in management education from industry point of view, analyzing current level of management education's competency as per requirements of industry.
