This article examines the trainee's characteristics in making the training a successful one. Contribution of the trainer and trainee are essential to make training successful. This study was conducted among the trainees who were undergoing training programmes in multinational companies located at Chennai. The Sample size is 150 and the response rate was 124. This study deals exclusively with the trainees ability in understanding the content of the training programmes.
