A wave across the world points towards the increased awareness towards environmental deterioration in which the role of overconsumption cannot be negated. One of the key remedies to reverse or at least stop this trend points towards socially responsible consumption behavior. The present study has been undertaken with an objective to study the relationship between demographics and socially responsible consumption behavior. It has been found that there exists an association between age, gender and education with socially responsible consumption behavior. The final findings can be of interest to marketers and policy makers. It is suggestive to environmentally educate the masses beyond the level of awareness.
