An empirical study on impact of workplace violence on employee absentism

Abstract

Workplace violence is a problem and is an important organisational and social concern. This study examined workplace violence and its effect on employee absentism and productivity. A sample of 100 respondents is collected from the universe. The collected data after being coded is analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences Research (SPSS) and various statistical tools like Mean, Standard deviation, factor analysis and karlpearson's correlation test are applied based on hypotheses and matching variables. It has been observed that the workplace violence has no positive effect on employee absentism.
