It was viewed in the literature that employees who are committed are more expected to be retained in the organization as compared to less committed ones. Researchers concluded that various human resource management practices such as selection practices, training, performance appraisal, promotion practices, performance based rewards, information sharing practices and job security have positive impact on the organizational commitment. Information sharing practices are used as a vital and helpful tool to increase an employee's organizational commitment by organizations. The information-sharing procedure involves the ways through which an organization spreads and receives information among the organization's employees in order to strengthen the decision-making process. Through these information sharing practices employees of the organization are treated as a part of the decisionmaking process and organization is giving respect to their views or opinions. Thus this study tried to find out information sharing practices as an antecedent of organizational commitment of the engineers of private organizations in NCR. Regression analysis is used to test the hypothesis. Results of this study showed a positive relationship between information sharing practices and organizational commitment.
