The main objectives of this paper are to analyze the pattern of micro finance industry, and also study the working mechanism of Bank Rakyat operating in Indonesia in the field of micro finance. This paper also studies the Four Pioneer Models which are operating successfully in the field of micro finance. Apart from that researchers also discussed about the extensive literature of micro finance industry along with the importance and requirement of microfinance to the society
