Abstract

The Indian customer today has become much more discerning and value conscious. The product & its usage are the basic criteria but the environment in which it is made available has also become critical, thus the emergence of experience is gaining importance, they customers today increasingly prefer to go to a shopping mall for an evening of shopping and entertainment and more money for their extravaganza and usage.

In this paper, an effort has been made to understand the change in the Indian customer's perspective with respect to the experience economy in a competitive environment. And the developers of shopping malls how do provide the customers with an exciting experience by integrating shopping with significant entertainment & recreation, promoters wishing to be experience providers need to know the various aspects of experience economy etc. A paradoxical survey has been done, keeping in view to know the problems and prospects of the shopping malls and solve it to through a dynamic strategy.
