Residues of cypermclhrin were determined on sundry and processed tea leaves after application of 0.005 and 0.01% spray on bushes at 400 litres/ha in different seasons for three consecutive years.
The residues though persisted for 14 days or more, these were below the prescribed MRL (20 ppm) even just after application. The half-life on leaves varied from 1.7–1.8 days. CTC processing had no significant effect on reducing residues.
