Fumigant Resistance:Problems and its Implications In the Control of Stored Product Insects in India
Abstract
Screening tests Tevealed high levels of resistances to phosphine in by Rhyzopertha dominica (x 99 and x 306 at LD and LD respectively), Tribolium castaneum (x 10 and x 41) and the sawtoolhed grain beetle Oryzae-phdus surinamensis L. (x 4 and x 63) collected from some of the warehouses in Karnataka, India.
There is need to carry out more screening tests with insects including moth pests from representative areas to ascertain the real situation.
