The Mannich bases, 8-(aroyl hydrazino/aryloxy acetyl hydrazino/aryl-3-thio semicarbazido) methyl-7-hydroxy-4-methyl coumarins (II, III and IV) were synthesized by the condensation of 7-hydroxy-4-methyl coumarin with aroyl hydrazine/aryloxy acetohydrazine/4-aryl-3-thio semicarbazide and their fungicidal activity against Pyricularia oryzae, Rhizoctonia solani, Pseudopernosphora cubensis and Phytophthora infestans is repotted.
