Abstract

Persistence of lindane, chlorpyriphos and quinalphos, each applied at 500 and 1000 g a.i. ha−1 four wks after germination of safflower followed by a second application after 3 wks, did not show any residue of chlorpyriphos or quinalphos at both the doses and lindane at the lower dose in its seed and oil at harvest. At 1000 g a..i ha−1 1indane, 0.34 4nd d.95 5g kg−1 residues were detected in seed and oil, respectively which were above the maximum residue limit (MRL) of 0.05 ppm fixed for the oilseed crop.
