Abstract

A pesticidal schedule consisting of two spray applications each @ 0.5 kg a.i. ha−1 of lindane, chlorpyriphos and quinalphos (recommended dose) and two spray appllcations each @ 1.0 0kg.i. ha−1 (double the recommended dose), tested from point of view of toxic residue in mustard and sunflower seeds, revealed that the residue of each insecticide in seeds remained within their respective permissible residue limits (MRL) at the recommended dose. However, at double the recommended dose, application of lindane and chlorpyriphos resulted in residue above MRL in mustard as well as sunflower seeds, but quinalphos residue remained within safe limits.
