Abstract

The pesticide formulation auxiliaries (solvent, surfactant and stabiliser) used to formulate monocrotophos soluble liquid (SL) have been found to influence its shelf-life. Epichlorohydnn at 2% was the most effective stabiliser in stabilising monocrotophos followed by pyrogallol and hydroquinone. Monocrotophos depradation correlated positively (r = 0.98 - 0.99) with acidity of the formulation which was checked in the presence of the stabiliser.
