Foliar application of mancozeb on groundnut @ 1200 and 2400 g a.i. ha−1 in a field experiment at Anand, Gujarat showed its moderate persistence on leaves with half-life of 4.6 and 4.7 d respectively. The chemical persisted till the 30th d after the last spray. However, at harvest residue remained below detectable level in fodder, kernel or shell. Field application of propineb @ 700, 875 and 1750 g a.i. ha−1 on groundnut at Junagadh, Gujarat resulted in the residue levels of 8.93, 12.20 and 28.42 (ig g−1 as CS2, respectively, in fodder at harvest. The shell and the kernel were free of residue.
