Abstract

Pot experiment was carried out to determine the residues of herbicides applied for weed control in soybean. Cucumber was used as bioassay species. Another pot culture study with known concentrations of herbicides was conducted to determine the regression coefficients and quadratic equations for the effects of herbicide residues on germination, plant height, number of leaves and dry matter production of cucumber. Quadratic function particularly with respect to plant height of cucumber was consistant with herbicide residues. Residues by this method for fluchloralin and alachlor were 0.239 ppm and 0.282 ppm, respectively.
