Effect of some granular insecticides viz., Sevidol 4:4 G, carbofuran 3 G, phorate 10 G and cartap hydrochloride 4 G applied @ 0.75 and 1.0 kg a.i. ha−1 against whitebacked and brown planthopper in rice under field condition was studied. Cartap hydrochloride 4 G and carbofuran 3 G @ 1.0 kg a.i. ha−1 recorded lowest population of these pests upto 35 d after their application. Sevidol 4:4 G proved least effective insecticide at all intervals.
