Dimethyl dithiocarbamates, morpholine dithiocarbamates, and diphenyl dithiocarbamates of Zn (II), Mn (II), Fe (III) and Cu (II) have been synthesised and characterized by infra-red and x-ray analyses. These compounds were tested for fungicidal activity by inhibition zone method against Helminthosporium goffybii and Alternaria solani. Diphenyl dithiocarbamates of zinc were inactive, whereas, seven dithiocarbamates under study showed fungicidal activity against both the fungi.
