Coating of pigeonpea seeds with powdered neem seed, neem seed kernel, neem seed coat, neem seed cake and Achook® (Godrej Agrovet Ltd., Bombay, India, Azadirachtin, 1500 ppm) significantly reduced the penetration of second stage juveniles of Heterodera cajani. Maximum reduction in penetration was observed with seed coating @ 20% w/w in all the treatments. Seed coating with neem seed kernel was found to be the most effective. In the pot trial, the neem products @ 20% w/w of pigeonpea seed reduced number of cysts/plant and in this case also neem seed kernel was found to be the most effective followed by neem cake.
