Five organomercuric nitrites and four organomercuric chlorides were screened for their fungitoxicity against Curvularia lunata, Fusarium oxysporum and Helminthosporum tetramera in vitro. l-(3’-Cyclohexene)-l-methoxy-ethyl mercuric nitrite was found to be promising in inhibiting the germination of spores (ED50 0.7 ppm) against all the test fungi.
