Abstract

Controlled release polymeric formulations of butachlor prepared in polvinyl chloride, polystyrene, thermokol and ethylcellulose matrices released butachlor in water up to 90 d in comparison to 30 d from the EC and laboratory granules. The fit of the release data in a mathematical expression indicated that the release was diffusion controlled with a Tw of 30.39 to 88.24 d from the different matrices.
