Abstract

Three new series of 2-chloroethyl phosphonamidates were synthesized tested for herbicidal and phytotoxic activities on some test crops and weed in the pot. The biological efficacy values were compared with various physico-chemical parameters of the compounds by multiple regression analyses to develop quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) models. The best fitted single-variable and two-variable models suggest that molar refractivity and steric parameters of the compounds are major determining factors in expression of bioactivity of the synthesized compounds.
