Abstract

Five hydroxytriazenes have been synthesized and screened for their insecticidal activity against one-day-old Drosophila melanogasler Meig. (Fruit fly). Further, their vanadium complexes have also been screened against the same insect to compare the results of free chelating ligands versus metal complexes. Hydroxytriazenes containing para substitution have proved to be most active, but the vanadium complexes were generally less active than their parent ligands.
