Abstract

Carvacrol was derivatised into its ethers and esters. All the derivatives were screened in vitro for antifungal and antibacterial activities against two fungi Aspergillus niger and Fusarium oxysporum and two bacteria Escherchia coli and Bacillus mecarium, Benzyl esters were found to be most active followed by methyl ester.
