Abstract

Field experiments were laid out to evaluate the efficacy of betacyfluthrin 025 SC and its combinations against rice stemborer, Scirpophaga incertulas and rice leaffolder, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis suring rabi 2000–2200 1nd dummer r200 with hice variety, CO 47 and ASD 18 respectively. In rabi and summer minimum percent of dead heart damage was recorded in betacyfluthrin +dithane M 45 (2.50% & 2.38% and 1.20% & 1.56% at 30 and 50 DAT respectively) and betacyfluthrin + chlorpyriphos (2.73% & 2.41% and 1.56% & 1.68% at 30 and 50 DAT respecttvely). The lowest per cent of white ear damage was observed in betacyfluthrin + chlorpyriphos (8.33 and 10.48% in rabi and summer respectively). Minimum leaf damage was recorded in betacyfluthrin + chlorpyriphos (2.14%) and betacyfluthrin + Dithane M 45 (2.29%) at 70 DAT in rabi. In summer, betacyfluthrin at 0.0875 g a.i. ha−1 (3.15%) and betacyfluthrin + Dithane M 45 (3.64%) were found to reduce leaf damage at 70 DAT.
