Abstract

The fungal agents Acremonium striatum, Aspergillus niger, Paecilomyces lilacinus and Trichoderma viride, alone or in combination and their culture filtrates were tested for larvicidal and ovicidal action against M. incognita. The in-vitro tests showed that A. niger was toxic against M. incognita while P lilacinus and T. viride were found to he egg parasitic or opportunistic. A. strictum possessed both toxic and egg parasitic properties. A glass house trial with these fungal bioagents both alone and together showed significant promising features. Performance of dual treatment of A. strictum and A niger in improving the health of tomato plant with remarkable reduction in M. incognita population was observed
