Abstract

Sublethal effects of cartap hydrochloride (Padan 50 SP) following treatment of third instar larvae of diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella (Linn.), were determined in laboratory. A significant enhancement of fecundity (79.3–83.0) and prolongation of oviposition period (7.6–8.2 days) were recorded in the adults. Longevity and egg-hatch of the cartap treated adults remained unaffected.
