Abstract

Citrus jambhiri Lush is the most widely used rootstock for most of citrus scion, but it is susceptible to Phytophthora spp. The disease commonly spread through supply of plants from infected nursery. To overcome the problem, the experiment was conducted for three years from 1995–96 to 1997–98 at Regional Fruit Research Station Katol. Drenching with metalaxyl @ 0.2% during August, December and June coupled with spraying of copper oxychloride @ 0.3% during October and April effectively reduced seedling mortality (13.9%) and improved plant height (52.9 cm) and girth (3.2 cm).
