The persistence of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl was studied in water at three different pH (4.0, 7.0 and 9.2) and two doses, 1 and 2 μg mL−1 under laboratory conditions. The water samples at tegular intervals were analysed upto 90 days. The initial deposits of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl at different pH ranged from 0.45–0.97μg mL−1 and 0.76–1.99 μg mL−1 for lower and higher dose, respectively. The half-life of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl varied from 17.5–46.3 and 18.8–47.8 days for two doses. The dissipation was found to be dependent on pH irrespective of doses.
