Lethal effect of commercial neem formulations Neemazal (1%) Neemicide (0.03%) Neemarin (0.15%) and Nimbicidine (0.03%) were examined in the laboratory on Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquifasciatus. Larval mortality (IV instar) of A. aegypti and C. quinquifasciats increased in a concentration dependent manner. Lowest LC50 58.0 ppm was obtained with Nimbicidine followed by Neemicide, (139.3 ppm), Neemarin (251.3 ppm) and Neemazal (1277.4 ppm) when IVth instar larva of A.aegypti were treated with these compounnds Similar roxicity effects were allo observed in case of C. quinquefasciatus.
