Abstract

Field experiment was conducted with wheat crop to evaluate persistence and harvest time residues of triasulfuron. Triasulfuron was applied as post-emergent @ 15 and 20 g ai ha−1. In soil, residues persisted beyond 30 days. The dissipation of triasulfuron followed a first order rate kinetics. The study indicated biphasic dissipation with initial laster rate followed by a slower dissipation during later period. Wheat grains, straw and soil at harvest (112 days) contained residues below detectable limits (0.01 and 0.002 mg kg−1).
