Insect growth regulatory activity of Elsholtzia incisa essential oil was evaluated against third instar rarvae of Bihar hairy caterpillar. The larvae were fed with treated food for 96 h and then untreated food was given throughout their life. The oil showed promising IGR activity. All the biological parameters of insect were adversely affected at the tested dose of essential oil.
