Synthesis of 2-substitutedphenyl-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-4-thiazolidinones(Ia-VIa) was carried by addition of thioglycolic acid to benzal-4-chloroanilines. The products Ia-VIa were identified and confirmed on the basis of elemental analysis and spectral studies and screened in vitro for their antifungal potentiat against Alternana alternata, Fusarium oxysporum, Colletotrichum capsici, Myrothecium roridum and Ustilago tritict by spors germination inhibition technique.
