Abstract

Vertical movement of pendimethalin in the representative clay loam soil of Jabalpur at two application rates (1.0 and 2.0 kg ha−1) was evaluated under laboratory condition in a packed soil colum with simulated rainfall of 320 mm. Pendimethalin was found distributed in soil at all the depths and maximum concentration was recovered ffom 0–4 cm depth. Results indicate that pendimethalin could leach in clay loam soil upto the depth of 52 cm in 200 mm continuous rainfall condition.
