Abstract

A green house experiment was conducted to manage root-knot, Meloidogyne incognita - wilt fungus, Fusarium oxysporum disease complex wiih the applicatton of neem kernel powder (0.3%)) carbofuran (1 kg ai ha−1), bevistin (2 kg ai ha1) and phorate (2 kg ai ha−1). It was observed that severity of root-knot nematode damage in okra was enhanced in presence of F. oxysporum with 50% wilting in root and shsot. Neem kernel reduced root-knot nematode infection significantly and also mitigated wilting in shoots. Bevistin didn't show any significant effect on fungus and reproduction rate of nematode. The combined treatment with carbofuran (0.5 kg ai ha−1), phorate (1 kg ai ha−1) and neem kernel powder showed maximum reduction in number of galls and reproduction rate of M. incognita. Application of carbofuran, phorate didn't affect root-knot galling in twin application compared to nematode alone. Plant growth was better in neem kernel powder and its combined application.
