An experiment on chillies (variety Pusa jawala) was laid out in randomized block design (RBD) replicated thrice during Kharif 2004. Following two sprays of endosulfan (35 EC), dicofol (18.5 EC), dimethoate (30 EC) and γ-cyhalothrin (5 EC) @ 350, 450), 300 and 50 g ai ha−1, initial depsoits on green chiilles were 4.62, 2.491, 0.331 and 0.662 mg kg−1 which dissipated to below maximum residue level after 10, 1, 1 and 4 days, respectively. The residues in harvested red chillies were below detectable levels in all treatments.
