Abstract

Residues of HCH were estimated in chickpea crop following the soil incorporation of HCH dust at sowing time. At the recommended dosage of 2.5 leg a.i., the initial deposits on the surface soil were 0.554 ppm which declined to 0.134 ppm at harvest. As much as 0.435 ppm HCH was recorded in foliage on 60th day, 0.155 ppm in green pods on 140th day and 0.07 ppm on grains at harvest on 176th day.
