In an in-vitro study, residues of Sebuphos in a sandy loam soil persisted beyond 60 days following application @ 2.5 and 10.0 μg/g soil. The dissipation followed a first order reaction. The half-life varied from 1 to 4 weeks decreasing at a rate directly proportion to moisture and inversely proportional to temperature. Although, both soil moisture and temperature independently accelerated the first order degradation of sebuphos, soil temperature was 1.7 times more influential than moisture. The initial concentration of sebuphos did not affect its disappearance rate, but affected its persistence in soil.
